Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa in the match against Asia lions stitched a partnership of 159 runs while chasing the target. Indian Maharajas chased down the total of 157 runs posted by Asia Lions in Just 12.3 overs. This was incredible effort from the Indian duo.

India maharajas in ongoing Legends League Cricket lost the first two matches by chasing the target. They looked comfortable while starting the innings but in the death overs failed to convert the start they got. This game was a do or die encounter for India maharajas as they loss earlier two matches of the tournament, they had to win match at any cost in order to keep their hopes alive for the finals.
Asia lions lead by Misbah Ul haq while batting first scored 157 for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Upul tharanga was the top scorer for them he scored 69 runs.
India maharajas started the chase cautiously but Robin Uthappa once started hitting boundaries then it was impossible task for Asia lions to stop him. He and Gautam Gambhir started hitting runs in all parts of the ground and scored the team fifty in no time. Robin Uthappa, who failed in first two innings looked in midas touch he was hitting the ball so powerfully that people started talking about why he is not playing IPL 2023.
On the other hand Gautam Gambhir kept on hitting boundaries at regular intervals. Gambhir maintained his form in this match as well. He also scored fifty in first two matches of LLC but failed to take his team over the line as there was no support from the other end.
Robin Uthappa completed his fifty and kept on hitting sixes. He scored hattrick of sixes in Mohammad Hafeez over. He was hitting ball very powerfully and the sound was coming very sweet from his bat. Gautam Gambhir at the other end also scored his well compiled half century by hitting the boundary at third man.
India maharajas chased the target of 158 runs in 12.3 overs thanks to opening duo. Robin Uthappa ended up scoring 88 in 39 balls he hit 11 fours and 5 sixes. Gautam Gambhir scored 61 runs in 36 balls by hitting 12 boundaries.
Their innings took cricket spectators down the memory lane. Netizens started comparing their batting when duo use to score runs for Kolkata knight riders in Indian Premier League (IPL). Both GG and Robin were also in the team for inaugral T20 worldcup held in South Africa in 2007.
It was quite refreshing for fans see these gladiators of Indian cricket to score in this fashion.
It was quite astonishing to see that they also didn’t allow Mohammad Amir to settle his line and length. Amir who had a very good outing in PSL 2023 failed to do any damage. Indian batters hit 29 runs in his 3 overs. Fans also started demanding the duo to came back to ipl so that they can see them bat.
India Maharajas will be against World gaints in today’s match. IM lost their first match against gaints but they will look to win the match today and will try to confirm their berth for finals.
At the end of the match Irfan Pathan, who is also playing LLC 2023 tweeted about their innings to which India maharajas captain Gautam Gambhir tweeted, “you can take a man out of cricket but you can’t take cricket out of the man”.
