Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 : Full Schedule, Venues, Teams and captains

 Finally the much anticipated Women’s Premier League inaugural season will start from the 4th March in DY Patil stadium Mumbai. Big bash women’s League is already happening from the past few years, fans were waiting for such type of league in India as well. Sourav Ganguly former BCCI president in the previous IPL made it clear that WPL gonna happen in some capacity in 2023 and is now really happening.

Women’s Premier League (WPL) is starting from 4 march and will end on 26th March. Matches for the tournament will held in Mumbai. 22 matches will be played in the women’s Premier League. Top three teams will be in playoffs. First team will be in final. 2nd and 3rd place team will play the eliminator. Winner of eliminator will play with the top team on 26th March.

First Match of WPL will be between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians. Beth Mooney will lead Gujarat Giants and harmaanpreet kaur will led Mumbai Indians. Match will be played in DY Patil stadium at 7:30 PM in Mumbai. TATA group is the official sponsor of the tournament.

There are 5 teams in the tournament.
